Roeshana Moore-Evans, MBA is a Boston native, social impact strategist, and community activist whose life’s work reflects an unwavering dedication to equity and social justice. Roeshana has been a board member at MPHA since 2014 and during her Presidency has continued her leadership in deepening MPHA’s understanding of structural racism and work to dismantle it.  She has also helped to launch a critical fundraising effort aimed at keeping MPHA and our work vibrant as we near our 150th anniversary. 

As the Founder and Principal Consultant of Equity Empowerment Consulting, Roeshana develops strategies for organizations to leverage their intellectual, reputational, and financial capital to address social challenges. Her work as Director of the Living Memorial at King’s Chapel will permanently alter our shared experience of the famous Boston Freedom Trail. She previously served as the inaugural Executive Director of the Harvard and the Legacy of Slavery Initiative, where she spearheaded Harvard’s efforts to confront its historical ties to slavery, directing $2 million in grants to community-based organizations through a pioneering reparative grant program. Prior to this role, she served as the Senior Advisor and Chief of Staff for Count Me In, a cancer advocacy and equity initiative at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
