The need for collective action in support of equity and justice has never been more urgent. MPHA is committed to sharing ways you can help push back against harmful federal executive orders, funding freezes, immigration terror, attacks on the trans community, and other injustices. These actions – whether big or small, focused at the national level or at the state level – are powerful when we do them in alliance.
We put together this webpage to share resources. And in February 2025, we created a email series entitled Resistance in Action (RiA) to highlight current calls to action. We will continue to publish RIA for as long as it’s needed! If you want to receive these updates, sign up for our newsletter today!

We’re fighting back.
In July, MPHA joined six leading national public health and medical professional societies in a lawsuit against Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. We’re taking action to defend vaccine policy and put an end to assaults on science, public health, and evidence-based medicine.
Vaccines are one of the greatest achievements of biomedical science and public health, preventing enormous suffering and premature death. Decades of strategic vaccination campaigns virtually eliminated diseases previously common in the United States, including diphtheria, tetanus, polio, smallpox, measles, mumps, and rubella.
At MPHA, we will not stand idly by as our system of prevention is dismantled.
The importance of trustworthy public health.
The constant stream of policy shifts and funding changes from Washington D.C. has created uncertainty and disruption, especially under the Trump Administration’s actions that threaten the health and well-being of our communities. These erratic and shortsighted decisions put hard-won public health advancements at risk.
At MPHA we are focused on cutting through the noise.
MPHA is firmly committed to safeguarding access to trustworthy, evidence-based information. In today’s complex information landscape, we are committed to sharing resources from vetted partners that will:
- Deliver science-backed health guidance you can trust
- Equip you with facts to counter harmful narratives
- Strengthen your advocacy with credible data
Accurate, reliable information is more important now than ever.
Information is power. Information is resistance. Trustworthy, evidence-based information is a critical public health intervention. When people can access reliable, science-backed health information—free from political manipulation—they are empowered to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. When misinformation and disinformation go unchecked, they destabilize public health systems and put communities at risk.
With the dismantling of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), we recognize the significant impact of losing centralized federal health guidance. Until federal confidence in federal guidance is restored, we’re helping to bridge the gap by providing resources from trusted partners:
- MADPH Vaccine Information for the General Public: Offers critical, evidence-based information about vaccines for youth, adults, and pregnant people, covering commonly asked questions, seasonal immunizations, and pharmacy locations.
- CIDRAP’s Vaccine Integrity Project: The Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy’s (CIDRAP) initiative is dedicated to safeguarding vaccine use so that it remains grounded in science, free from external influence, and focused on optimizing protection of individuals, families, and communities against diseases that spread from person to person.
- KFF Misinformation & Myth Monitor: examines and debunks disinformation, such as myths about raw milk and vaccines.
- MADPH LGBTQIA+ Care and Resources: After the CDC removed essential LGBTQ+ guidance and resources from its website, the Department of Public Health launched a new platform where healthcare providers and community members can access vital information and support.
Trusted partners.

50 50 1 Movement
The idea—50 protests in 50 states on 1 day—began as a decentralized rapid response to the anti-democratic and illegal actions of the Trump Administration. Since its inception, the movement has mobilized millions of people and brought together a growing network of organizers and organizations.
LUCE Immigrant Justice Network of Massachusetts

LUCE organizes in solidarity with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, immigrants and refugees, people who are targets of criminalization and currently or formerly incarcerated, young people, elders, LGBTQ+ people, and all those who are oppressed and living at the margins due to the broken system of “justice” within the U.S.
Public Health Communications Collaborative
The Public Health Communications Collaborative creates timely, relevant, and practical tools, messaging, and training to support and enhance the communications capacity of public health professionals across the country.
Public Health Guide for Immigration Justice
In the face of increased state violence through immigration enforcement, including the separation of families, mass disappearances, and militarized response to protest, public health must rise and act. Health in Partnership has created two new resources to support public health workers in protecting immigrant rights, advancing community safety, and promoting immigration justice.
