Dolores Thibault-Muñoz has dedicated her life to assuring that the voices of historically vulnerable communities are heard. Dolores moved to Fitchburg, MA in 2006, where she became the executive director of a local community- based organization. She then became interim executive director of two other community-based organizations. Dolores has served on multiple boards of local organizations and at the helm of many lasting positive initiatives in her community. She was also the first Latina elected City Councilor in the City of Fitchburg. Dolores graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Women’s and Gender Studies with a concentration in Public Policy and graduated with a Juris Doctor from The Massachusetts School of Law. She is currently Deputy Director of NewVue Communities. Dolores lives in Gardner with her husband and two daughters. She is originally from Chicago, where she was a community organizer and also worked in youth development. She loves to garden, write poetry, be involved in activism and spending time with her family.
