Daniel J. Delaney is the founder and principal of the Delaney Policy Group (DPG) a Boston-based, Black-owned government affairs and strategic consulting firm. DPG is Massachusetts’ only certified minority business enterprise in lobbying and government affairs. Prior to launching his own firm, Mr. Delaney served for 5 years at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in the roles of Director of Strategic Planning and Director of Intergovernmental Relations and Legislative Affairs. Key efforts during that period included preservation of state resources for core public health functions, supporting the continuing implementation of Massachusetts health care reform initiatives, and working to manage new regulatory responsibilities around prescription monitoring and pharmaceutical company codes of conduct. Mr. Delaney has also held key positions on the Massachusetts Legislature’s Joint Committee on Public Health as research director and as chief of staff. He also served as Director of Multicultural Health Policy at Health Care for All.
