The Office of Sexual Health and Youth Development (OSHYD) within the Bureau of Community Health and Prevention (BCHAP) seeks to hire an Epidemiologist I responsible for data collection and analysis, database management, report preparation and provision of technical assistance to contracted agencies for data collection and reporting. The Epidemiologist may be called upon to support any of the OSHYD programs, which include:

Sexual and reproductive health
Adolescent sexuality education/teen pregnancy prevention
Support for expectant and parenting teens
Youth development
Tasks within these programs include surveillance and evaluation activities, assuring that data and evidence are used to identify and set programmatic goals, developing programmatic logic models, developing and implementing comprehensive evaluation plans, adding to the evidence base by sharing results through presentations and publications, linking program datasets with other datasets in the Bureau, and executing an approved evaluation plan to estimate program effectiveness and impact.
