Rodrigo Monterrey is the Sr. Director of DEI and Health Equity at Tufts Medicine. Before this he was Director of Workforce Development and Deputy Director of Health Equity at the MA Department of Public Health, where he also led system-transformation initiatives for procurement and for culturally and linguistically appropriate services (CLAS) standards. He brings over 20 years of experience in public, private, and nonprofit sectors developing, implementing, and evaluating programs to address inequities across social determinants of health. He is bilingual, bicultural and has experience in multicultural and social marketing. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Massachusetts Boston
