Summary of Position

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and dedicated professional to join the Engagement and Policy Unit within the Office of Local and Regional Health (OLRH). The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adept at managing competing priorities, and be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Experience working with the Zoom video conferencing platform is preferred.

This position will support the Assistant Director of Stakeholder Engagement and Policy in overseeing and monitoring the dissemination of communication materials focused to keep local public health informed. Under the direction of the Assistant Director, the Coordinator will support the strategic direction of OLRH communications, ensuring integration of racial and health equity into all facets of the work. This includes: OLRH webpages on the DPH website, electronic newsletters, webinars in collaboration with internal and external local public health partners, and public health advisories. The Coordinator will collaborate with staff across all OLRH units to compile local public health stories and share them with internal and external partners through various communications platforms (i.e. newsletters, documents, and webinars).
