Title: Preparedness Coalition Coordinator

Summary of Position
The Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) seeks an outgoing and experienced coalition coordinator to join our Emergency Preparedness Program and serve the work of the Western Massachusetts Health and Medical Coordinating Coalition (HMCC). As the sponsoring organization for the HMCC Program, the FRCOG coordinates public health and medical emergency preparedness and response activities for the four westernmost counties in Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include:
- Stakeholder engagement and coalition building
- Developing/delivering educational programming and outreach materials
- Leading the annual planning process
- Assisting with regional emergency response coordination for the HMCC
Ideal Candidate
The candidate will perform research and analysis, write plans and reports, and present information to coalition members, and state/municipal officials. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to obtain and synthesize information from a variety of sources to draw conclusions, comfort with reaching out to new people and organizations and establishing effective working relationships, and in developing material. Above all, the successful candidate will be self-motivated, curious, and able to multitask.
Hours and Salary
Requires 1-2 evening or weekend meetings/week and 24/7 on call duties approximately 1 week/month. Pay begins at $60k, negotiable, with full benefits.
