The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) seeks to hire a Learning and Development Coordinator to assist the Office of Local and Regional Health (OLRH). Reporting to the Workforce Development Credentialing Coordinator, the Learning and Development Coordinator will identify gaps in learning/training courses and materials, create guidelines and processes on how to develop a training course, develop new course materials, oversee the tailoring of the LMS for local public health, coordinate with relevant internal and external partners, and provide expertise to the OLRH staff on learning development. This position is critical in ensuring the in house capacity for an efficient, relevant, and robust workforce development and training infrastructure to support the OLRH workforce development.
Ideal Candidate
- Passionate about and familiar with the social determinants of health and their measurement;
- Has at least 3 years of experience in business administration, business management or public administration and
- A deep understanding of program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis
