Join MPHA on Tuesday, March 29th for Massachusetts Food Trust: From Concept to Impact. The event will take place at the Massachusetts State House, 3rd Floor, House Member’s Lounge, from 11:00am-12:00pm. We are excited to have Reinvestment Fund’s Senior Policy Advisor Patricia Smith as our keynote speaker, as well as featured speakers: Senator Eileen Donoghue, Mayor Brian Arrigo of Revere, and Dave Christopolis, Executive Director of the Hilltown Community Development Corporation.
Our keynote speaker leads Reinvestment Fund’s efforts in the design or management of the following healthy food financing initiatives: Pennsylvania Fresh Food Financing Initiative, New Jersey Food Access Initiative, California FreshWorks Fund, Maryland’s Fresh Food Financing Initiative, New York Healthy Food & Healthy Communities Fund, and City of New Orleans’ Fresh Food Retailer Initiative. Ms. Smith will highlight how these funds are successfully administered to drive economic growth and create opportunity for food enterprises and jobs throughout the nation.
We will be joined by elected officials, business leaders, and community partners from around the state to learn how the Massachusetts Food Trust can create jobs, leverage private investment, and increase access to healthy food choices.
Join us to learn what works around the country to drive impact in communities that need it most. You can RSVP at https://mphaweb.wufoo.com/forms/rsvp/.
