Brief Summary of Position:
The Massachusetts Health Care Workforce Center (HCWC) is seeking to hire a team member to develop and provide the lead for a number of health workforce assessment and development initiatives. The person in this position advances and supports two essential aspects of HCWC priorities: health workforce development focusing on assessment, evaluation, and retention initiatives, and program communications, presence on the web and social media.
The HCWC promotes the health and well being of Massachusetts residents by advocating for and supporting comprehensive equitable access to healthcare professionals. To do this the HCWC conducts in-depth research and analysis of the healthcare delivery system and the population it serves to identify trends and develop strategies to address gaps and needs. The HCWC provides reports on health workforce supply and retention, recommends new initiatives, and supports health workforce development in high need areas. Collaborative initiatives and partnerships with federal, state and community entities facilitate resource coordination in order to address the delivery of health care services, reduce health disparities, and recruit and retain health professionals.
