On November 13, Rally together with fellow diabetes advocates to let our legislators know diabetes is an epidemic in the Commonwealth they can’t ignore! Join us from 9:30 am- 11 am in Nurses Hall at the State House for Changing Diabetes Day. The speaking program will begin at 10 am. Hear from fellow diabetes advocates before having the opportunity to visit legislators’ offices to share critical information about diabetes with them. This event is free to attend and you can register here.
This event is in honor of World Diabetes Day on November 14. This day is an international call to action in order to unite and create a powerful voice for diabetes awareness and advocacy globally. The theme for this year is healthy living and diabetes. Ensuring access to a healthy breakfast is an emphasis for this year’s WDD, but is only the start to prevention and management of diabetes. Learn more about how to get off to the right start and advocate for diabetes education, prevention, and management in your community here.
Changing Diabetes Day at the State House is sponsored by: DRF, United Way of Central Massachusetts, T1D Exchange, College Diabetes Network, American Diabetes Association, YMCA, Massachusetts Public Health Association, and Novo Nordisk.
