Brief Summary of Position:

The Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Health (REACH) Program Manager will be responsible for the administration of the REACH grant including working with the CDC and evaluators to ensure progress towards goals, management of awards to coalition members, and ensuring that performance and financial reporting requirements are met.  In addition, the Program Manager will help facilitate the coalition in mobilizing the community to address health disparity and access to healthy living.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates daily activities of grant including; activities, coalition, surveys and assessment
  • Collaborates with independent consultant for ongoing assessment and evaluation
  • Coordinates trainings, events and provides support to coalition infrastructure
  • Attends trainings to keep abreast of local and national trends surrounding substance abuse prevention and policies
  • Oversee federal reporting of outcome measures and annual reapplication
  • Conduct focus groups/ key informant issues
  • Work with evaluators community members, consultants

Education/ Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Health or Equivalent or equivalent desirable
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Grant writing and fiscal management skills necessary
  • Familiarity with statistical software
  • 3-5 years experience working in the human service field
  • Expertise in prevention strategies (Strategic Prevention Framework)
  • Experience conducting research including data collection
  • Community organizing
  •  Experience working with diverse populations
