See You on Twitter! @MAPublicHealth Will Share Stories of Local Efforts to Improve Healthy Food Access

In honor of Food Day 2014, MPHA is hosting a Tweet Chat on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, from 12-1pm.

WebFood Day is a nationwide celebration and a movement for healthy, affordable, and sustainable food. This year the national observance will take place on October, 24, 2014, but MPHA will kick off the celebration in Massachusetts a few days early with our Tweet Chat on the 22nd.

Take this opportunity to share stories about what your community is doing to increase access to affordable, healthy foods and to get others involved with your Food Day activities and healthy food access efforts. So that we can share good, current information from across Massachusetts, we need the following from you before Oct 22:

  • Links to websites, Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, & news articles about local efforts
  • Photos we can share about efforts
  • If an effort doesn’t have an online presence, send what info you have
  • Suggestions for questions you’d like us to ask

Send content for the Tweet Chat (and any questions) to Jamie Klufts at jklufts@mphaweb.org

Never participated in a Tweet Chat? No worries—you’re not alone! Here are 5 quick tips for first-timers. Stay tuned for our hashtag announcement and make sure you follow MPHA on Twitter!
