The Boston Foundation has awarded MPHA a grant of $50,000 to continue its work towards improving the health of Massachusetts. The grant will be used for general operating support, which is integral to sustaining and improving MPHA programs and grassroot advocacy efforts.
The Boston Foundation, Greater Boston’s community foundation, is one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the nation, with assets of nearly $900 million. In 2012, the Foundation and its donors contributed approximately $88 million in grants to nonprofit organizations and received gifts of close to $60 million.
