Join the UMass Center for Clinical and Translated Science (UMCCTS) for its 3rd Annual Community Engagement and Research Symposium, titled, “Community Engaged Research: Exploring the Reach, Impact & Value”. The meeting will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 in the Albert Sherman Center, at UMass Medical School campus in Worcester, MA, from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
This year’s symposium will focus on learning about multiple community-engaged research interests and experiences and making connections for future collaborative work to address health issues in communities throughout Massachusetts. Dr. Laura Punnett,the Director of Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center at the University of Maine ; and Dr. Linda Silka, the Co-Director of the Center for the Promotion of Health in the New England Workplace, will be delivering the plenary talks. Followed by concurrent breakout sessions that will discuss various topics related to community-engaged research and the ethical implications.
