Natick receives leadership award
By Staff Reports
The town is one of 11 communities statewide being recognized by the Massachusetts Public Health Association for receiving a Healthy by Design Community Leadership Award.
The award recognizes efforts to support pedestrians, bicyclists, and public transportation riders downtown, improve the accessibility of the downtown commuter rail station, and enhance pedestrian and bicycle connectivity between downtown and the station, Town Administrator Martha White told selectmen this week.
The award will be presented at the State House on Oct. 9 as part of an event sponsored by the association and several other organizations.
